Jeanie Buss Says She'll Do Anything To Make WOW Successful, Including Taking A Bump

Jeanie Buss wants to do whatever she can to help WOW Women of Wrestling succeed.

WOW announced its multi-year deal with ViacomCBS in October 2021 and there has been many stops and starts to its return. The promotion was founded in 2000 by David McLane, but ceased television production multiple times over the past two decades.

Buss is the co-owner of the promotion and serves as the President of the Los Angeles Lakers, but she's willing to get in the ring if it makes sense.

"I usually stay in the background, but David McLane has a way of creating storylines. I’ll do anything to help this property be successful. If he deems that important, then absolutely. I’ll be there," she told Scott Fishman of TV Insider.

When asked about long-term goals for WOW, Buss said, "My dream is always to have a tour and take these women across the country. Take them globally. I want to reach as wide an audience as possible because that is really what the goal of WOW is. That’s what these women deserve."

WOW Women of Wrestling is set to premiere the weekend of September 17 in syndication on CBS-affiliated networks.
