Jeff Hardy On Matt Hardy's WWE Contract Expiring: It's Cool The Hardy Boyz Can Do Their Own Thing

Matt Hardy's future is still up the air, so much so that his own brother Jeff has no idea where Matt will end up.

Earlier this week, Matt's WWE contract expired with both parties having confirmed as such. Matt said he's going to be paying attention to a number of companies, such as WWE, AEW, NJPW, Impact, ROH and make a decision on where he'll go. Jeff appeared on WWE Backstage and was asked about Matt's contract with WWE ending and said he hasn't talked to him about him.

"I haven't spoken to him, hardly at all, so I don't know what his plans are. We've been wrestling for a long time, but even if we are in different wrestling worlds, it's still cool that the Hardy Boyz can go their separate ways and do their own thing," Jeff said.

Jeff also revealed that his return to WWE is imminent, but joked a bit about he was able to avoid a lot of surgery early in his career while Matt had to go under the knife a number of times in the past and now it's Jeff who has had multiple injuries in recent years.

"The weirdest thing was that in my early 20s and Matt was in his late 20s, he got all the surgeries in his 30s and I was invincible. I never got hurt, but then when I turned 40, I started getting hurt... We're just so blessed to still be wrestling in 2020. It's pretty impressive," Jeff said.
