Jeff Hardy Uses Michael Hayes As A Creative Soundboard, Has Never Pitched One Idea To Vince McMahon

Jeff Hardy talks about never pitching ideas to Vince McMahon.

Jeff Hardy has always been creative and a man with many ideas. However, more often than not, Jeff Hardy has explored more of his creativity, via his own theme songs and ideas such as Willow, outside of WWE.

During an appearance on the most recent Broken Skull Sessions with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jeff Hardy reveals but he never has pitched an idea to Vince McMahon and always uses Michael Hayes as a soundboard given their history together.

"I've never pitched — Matt was always the pitch guy during the Hardy Boyz thing. He was always the guy, you know, the more sociable guy compared to me, but yeah. I've never pitched one idea to Vince. I always go to Michael Hayes usually when I have an idea that I feel really passionate about. Because he's got a great mind for it. I'm not afraid to think outside the box and not afraid to go somewhere that I'm kind of — it is intense for me to go and say, 'Well, is this possible?' So yeah, I've got a few ideas that I think I'll hit Michael with and see how he reacts, maybe."

He continued, "Yeah, now that's I think that's my crossroads. Right now, it's time for some ideas. It's time for an idea that I think I have kind of figured out but I just need to kind of pitch and see what happens, you know, because Matt's not there. It's up to me and I'm not a big Politicker type of guy, you know, or businessman or whatsoever, but I do have these ideas that are possible and but then that's when my personality has to really commit to whatever I feel like I can do and really, do it 110%."

Jeff Hardy did say that one time Vince McMahon did hear from him was after he and his brother, Matt, had their match time cut at WrestleMania 25.

"That's one of my favorite matches. Dude, I almost forgot about that. I mean, my career's been so all over the place. To do that, brother versus brother, it was so fun because [they] cut a lot of time off that match. I'll never forget this. I was so upset because we had to cut out several spots. I was so passionate, upset. We didn't get to do it in front of that crowd. That was one time me and Vince did have a conversation after that. I think he kind of liked that he saw how mad I was because I was like throwing stuff in there. 'I can't believe we didn't get to do that stuff wanted to do.' We did plenty like more than enough. But it was still — the passion within me really ignited that night after the match. I was really upset."

Jeff Hardy has said in prior interviews that he is ready to become the WWE Universal Champion and he wants to introduce his Willow character at some point soon. Learn more here.
