Jeff Jarrett: Dixie Carter’s Locker Room Speech Was Only About Her Ego

On November 5, 2009, TNA Wrestling aired a speech by Dixie Carter where she addressed the talent in the Impact Zone. The speech came after TNA made the decision to hire Hulk Hogan.
Carter said that even though people might have different opinions on her decisions, she expected their support. “When you question things about this company, you question me. I can’t allow that to happen.” Carter said that the talent had a choice to make and that they could choose to support her or not, but if they chose not to support her, they could find another place to work.
On episode three of Dark Side of the Ring, Jeff Jarrett addressed the speech given by Dixie.
“It was not about anything other than her ego. You can go back and look at the faces. Talent really understood, ‘This is who we’re working for.’ A lot of them, including myself, ‘where do things go now?'”
Producer David Sahadi said on the episode that Dixie lost the locker room with that speech.
Jarrett was brought back shortly after the speech, believing that Dixie wanted to keep an eye on him.
