Jeff Jarrett On Karrion Kross And Scarlett’s WWE Status, ‘Blurring the Lines Is Good For Business’
Jeff Jarrett comments on the apparent departure of Karrion Kross and Scarlett from WWE.
Karrion Kross is now a free agent after his WWE contract expired and was not renewed on August 10th. His wife, Scarlett, is also a free agent. During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Karrion Kross stated that he was offered a new deal but was only given 24 hours to accept it before it was rescinded. He also mentioned that Scarlett was not offered a new deal.
Jeff Jarrett is now weighing in on their situation with WWE. Jarrett said on a recent episode of his My World podcast that he believes Kross and Scarlett may have a deal locked up with WWE, but in any case, he likes the Intrigue surrounding their status and the new way of blurring the lines in professional wrestling.
“I have not followed it as closely as you have, but if he was given the ability to write a book that was under WWE watch. This is what I like most of all. It has become a story that people are engaged in and with Raw SmackDown, NXT, TNA, AAA, he ain’t going nowhere. I think the deal’s already done and agreed upon, and they’re navigating this. Shoot, work, regardless, it’s one and the same,” he said. “I’m a big believer… I didn’t come up with it. I’m mirroring what I was taught in the territory, and they were mirroring what they were taught. They’re blurring the lines as much as possible, and I’m all for it.
“Do I know what’s real and what’s not real? No, but I’m damn sure intrigued and trying to learn and observe that they’ve got people engaged, and Kevin has had a lot of TV time over the last however long, and getting people engaged… Look me and Kevin Sullivan [the producer] we did a little thing behind the scenes at TNA, in 2008/2009. Blurring the lines, I think it’s great, and I think we’re going to see a lot more of it. That’s what I’m saying. When you say it’s a storyline, I almost want to say it’s disrespectful, but they are operating in the sphere of the professional wrestling industry, and they’re doing a pretty damn good job of blurring the lines, and I think that’s good for business.”
