Jelly Roll Shares The Rock Offered To Help Him For WWE SummerSlam Match
Jelly Roll is one of the few celebrities who have crossed over to wrestling, making his in-ring debut at WWE SummerSlam 2025 bout.
The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) went the other way, starting off in wrestling and then crossing over to Hollywood.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Jelly shared his talks with The Rock ahead of his in-ring debut.
“Just, all praises,” he said of what Rock told him after the match. “Because I talked to him about it, then I was like, ‘Man, I think I want to get involved in a match.’ He’s like, ‘You can get healthy enough?’ I was like, Yeah, man. He’s like, ‘Go shoot for it, brother.’ DJ’s energy is, how can I help? Like, he’s got that energy in life. Anytime you get around him, it’s automatically processed. and then he’s like how can I help? So he immediately, I’m like, I’m having a match, and he stops, we’re walking, and he stops and looks at me and goes, ‘How can I help?’ I’m like no I got it, I’m talking to Triple H. Like, we’re good. He’s like, just let me know. You know what I mean. But like, that instant, like, that’s his spirit in life.”
Jelly, teaming with Randy Orton, was defeated by Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam.
Elsewhere during the interview, Jelly explained why he wanted to lost the match. You can find his full comments here.
