Je’Von Evans Believes He & Leon Slater Can Headline WWE WrestleMania
Evans is amped up about the next generation.
At 21 years of age, Je’Von Evans will be competing at WrestleMania. He is set for night two of the show on April 19th, where he will be in a Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
While at the WrestleMania 42 media junket, Evans spoke to Metro. He spoke about the next generation of talent and feels confident in saying that they are ushering in a new Attitude Era.
“Me, Leon (Slater), Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes, we got some ballers. I feel like this next generation is about to turn wrestling into a whole different attitude, whole different sport. I honestly feel like it’s gonna be like a new Attitude Era! I feel highly confident saying that.”
Further speaking about the X Division Champion, Evans expressed that he believes he and Slater could headline WrestleMania.
“Fo’ sho’, most definitely (Leon Slater and I could headline WrestleMania). We did our thing at TNA – of course, the finish was upset, but we got so many years to redo it. Not redo the finish, let us at least get something! We got so many years to grind and do a match like that again. Hopefully next time, go a bit crazier, have a better match and steal the show again.”
The last time Evans and Slater competed together was in December as part of John Cena’s final match card at Saturday Night’s Main Event. They faced A.J. Styles and Dragon Lee.
