Je’Von Evans Recalls Telling His Teachers, ‘All I Need To Know Is How To Count Money And Read Contracts’

Je’Von Evans kept it straight with his teachers.

At the young age of 21, Je’Von Evans is considered to be one of the fastest rising stars in all of professional wrestling. Evans will get a huge opportunity at NXT/TNA Showdown, as he’ll anchor Team NXT in their battle against Team TNA.

Speaking with the No Contest Wrestling Podcast for a new interview, Evans spoke about some of his struggles in school and how he often dismissed education to boast about wanting to become a wrestler.

“Personally, I wasn’t really good in school. It was only because I was confident that I was going to make it to WWE. Don’t do this kids, if there are any kids watching, please do your work. But there was a couple times to where my teacher would tell me to do something like, ‘Hey, you need to do your homework’ or whatever. I would talk back like, ‘Bro, I’m not gonna need this, I’m gonna be a wrestler.’ Literally I would tell them that. They would be like, ‘Alright cool, whatever bro, but you gonna need to learn this.’ When I was younger, I was telling my teachers like, ‘All I need to know is how to count money and read contracts.’ That’s what I was telling my teachers, bro. Now, it’s more than that. I’m kind of still right [laughs].”

Elsewhere in the interview, Je’Von Evans touched on Shawn Michaels pushing for him to get signed. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
