The NWA has issued a statement on a controversial remark that was said during NWA Powerrr.
NWA Vice President David Lagana wrote a statement on Twitter apologizing to fans for comments "one of our talents made" that were offensive that took place during the November 19 episode of Powerrr.
Although Lagana never mentioned who the talent was or what specific comment was uttered during the episode of NWA Powerrr, a clip floating across social media, which can be seen below, showed Cornette saying the following in the middle of a match between Nick Aldis and Trevor Murdoch.
"Trevor Murdoch is the only man that I've ever known that can strap a bucket of fried chicken on his back and ride a motor scooter across Ethiopia," Cornette said on Powerrr.
The original episode that streamed on NWA's YouTube page was taken out and an edited version that took out Cornette's comments was uploaded a couple of hours after the show first premiered.
NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis also weighed in.
This isn't the first time the NWA has had to comment on offensive language Cornette has said. A few weeks back, Lagana released a statement on Cornette's off-color comments about suicide on social media and that the situation was addressed internally.
