Jim Johnston Doesn’t Think Triple H Is A Fan Of His, ‘He Wanted His Own Guys, I Was Perceived As Vince’s Guy’

Jim Johnston is arguably the most legendary theme composer in wrestling history, crafting the iconic themes of Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, and more.

Fans have wanted Johnston to return for years as many themes have missed the mark.

Speaking on the All Access Entertainment podcast, Johnston was discussing how he put together Triple H’s themes alongside Motorhead, when he commented on how he believes Triple H feels about him.

“I still think Hunter wants to maintain that Motorhead wrote those songs. I don’t think he’s a very big fan (of me). When he was coming out of wrestling and into more of a behind the scenes role, he clearly wanted his own guys, and he perceived me as Vince’s guy. I think that’s why I’m not being asked to write themes anymore,” he said.

Johnston’s last theme was “I Bring the Darkness” (End of Days), which was used for Baron Corbin.

Corbin, who is the reigning WWE United States Champion, now uses “I Cause the Pain.”
