Even though AEW has its own music producer, Mikey Rukus, it stands to reason that with all of the names from wrestling past that have been brought in to help AEW on-camera, there may be a desire to have the same wealth of experience behind the scenes as well.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Jim Johnston revealed that he has not yet been contacted by AEW, a move that he says does not make sense to him from a business perspective.

Chris Van Vliet sent the following quote.

"No, and it always amazed me from a business angle. If I was in that workroom, I would say, 'Vince just fired Jim, this is a way we could really stick it to them. Find that guy and get him in here this afternoon.' It doesn't make sense to me."
