Jim Ross Didn't Expect The Rock To Be At WrestleMania 41, 'There’s A Lot Of Cooks In The Kitchen'

Jim Ross didn't think The Rock was going to be at WrestleMania 41.

Much has been made of The Rock not appearing at 'The Show Of Shows' in April, with many aruging that he was a key part of the story surrounding John Cena and Cody Rhodes.

The Rock defended himself after the event, saying that he felt like he had finished his role in the story.

On the latest episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross talked about Rock missing WrestleMania, saying that he didn't expect him to be there.

“I did not. I had no thoughts that it was going to happen. I’d been happy if it did, I had no issues if it did but there’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen. There’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen in that scenario. It didn’t affect me yay or nay. I know Rock as well as anybody, I signed the guy. He was one of my star recruits back in the day. I was kind of nonplussed by it. I didn’t expect him to be there but then again, maybe I should have expected him to be there. It just didn’t seem like it made a lot of sense, yay or nay, that he would be a part of WrestleMania. I think we were spoiled a little bit quite frankly.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Ross praised AEW's decision to sign Josh Alexander. Click here to learn more.
