Jim Ross Has Concerns About Joey Ryan's Gimmick

Joey Ryan being res-erected at All In was an uplifting moment that has the crowd reaching a climax.

But Jim Ross wasn't a big fan of the whole thing. Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Ross explained his concerns over the segment and Ryan's gimmick as a whole.

Karrion Kross: There's Something Much Bigger Going On Here Than What's Happening In The Ring

"Here's my bottom line issue; it has nothing to with his act, his schtick, his routine, his delivery or presentation. It has to do with...you have to realize who your audience is. We know who his audience is," said Ross. "But who's the audience that bought a ticket and there's an ass every 18 inches? That's what I'm concerned about. When you have women and children -- and I had people mention that to me that had children there that had some explaining to do about the penis thing. Maybe a better decision could have been made as far as creative without cutting his cord. Without giving him a creative vasectomy."

Ross conceded that he realizes he is not Ryan's target demographic as a 66-year-old.

Even though the longtime announcer has reservations, the Penis Druid segment at All In was one of the most talked about moments on the show the following day. Fightful's own Sean Ross Sapp got the behind the scenes scoop on the segment
