Jim Ross Comments On WWE Debut Of Royce Keys (Powerhouse Hobbs)

Jim Ross comments on the WWE debut of Royce Keys.

Powerhouse Hobbs is no longer a free agent in the world of wrestling, as he made his debut as Royce Keys for WWE at the Royal Rumble event on January 31. Keys finished up his multi-year run with AEW earlier this month, taking a pinfall loss in his final bout.

On the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross reacted to the debut and said that Keys looked great.

“It was quick. Look, it’s good for his career. You’ve got to move on and stay fresh and put a new coat of paint on it every now and then. I think that’s basically what he did. He looked great. His ring attire was spiffy. He’s a big strong son of a gun. A lot of character, he’s got integrity. I think the world of him, I wish him nothing but the very best. I gravitated to him early on in his AEW run and I’m glad that we got a chance to work with him. He’s a hell of a good guy. He’ll give credit to the locker room without question.”

Keys lasted nearly ten minutes in the match before being eliminated by Bronson Reed.

As of publish time, it is currently unknown when Royce Keys will appear for WWE next. Fightful will update fans when that changes.
