Jim Ross Says Daniel Bryan Should Think Twice Before Getting Back In The Ring

Jim Ross wonders whether Daniel Bryan's teased return to wrestling is such a good idea.

Daniel Bryan has been acting as General Manager for Smackdown but has hinted about a return to action before. Last week, Bryan tweeted a tease about him returning to the ring. WWE has not allowed Bryan to wrestle because he has not been medically cleared by their staff. Speculation among fans has been Bryan will return to wrestling after his WWE contract has expired. He has not been in a wrestling match since 2015.

In a recent blog, Jim Ross explained why it would be a mistake for Bryan to return before his body is ready.

"Seems as if Daniel Bryan is having some fun trolling social media as he teases a return to the ring which I seriously doubt will or should ever happen. If his existing medical condition put DB in a higher risk category, then he needs to be the responsible husband and father and refrain from lacing up his boots again. Don't get me wrong, if DB could safely resume his career I'd be all for it as he is one of the great talents in recent memory," wrote Ross.

Also in his blog, Ross discussed the past weekend's mixed-martial-arts cards, Impact Wrestling's upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view, and commentating the upcoming Mae Young Classic. He said he and Lita will "kick some serious ass" at the commentary booth for the Mae Young Classic
