Jim Ross says Ronda Rousey would be missing out if she did not join WWE.
Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey has been connected to WWE since her appearance at Wrestlemania 31. At that time, she was still the undefeated UFC champion. She last fought in December and has had increasing connections to the wrestling world. In an interview with TMZ, Jim Ross was asked about how Rousey would fare if she returned to WWE.
"She's going to be a big star somewhere. It's inevitable. I see her at WrestleMania someday. It's too great of an opportunity for her to pass up in WWE. It's a match made in heaven," said Ross.
Rousey has not fought in UFC since her second consecutive loss at UFC 207. She has not given any indication of a return to mixed-martial-arts and even UFC president White has said it is uncertain if she will ever fight again. She recently showed up to the Mae Young Classic to watch her friend Shayna Baszler compete. Another friend of Rousey's was at the Mae Young Classic, Jessamyn Duke who is a mixed-martial-artist that has recently taken up professional wrestling. Ross was also at the Mae Young Classic, working at the commentary booth.
Also in Ross' interview with TMZ, he talked about how Kurt Angle would have done in UFC in 1996. He was also asked who the next break-out wrestling star would be and Ross had no answer, but he said he wishes he knew.
