Jim Ross thinks Matt Hardy's reimagined character is what he wants to see more of in professional wrestling.
TNA wrestler Matt Hardy has created an uptick in audience for Impact recently. In his Thursday blog entry Ross wrote about the recent rumors surrounding Hardy and WWE.
"Saw where WWE is allegedly hoping that Matt Hardy returns to WWE when his TNA contract ends. Don't know the validity of this latest, rasslin rumor but to be able to get BOTH Hardy's back in WWE would likely make many Hardy fans happy" said Ross.
Seemingly impressed with Hardy, Ross mentions the recent change in Hardy's demeanor and why he think it works.
"Matt has developed the freshest, most unique pro wrestling TV persona in the biz which is a tribute to a talent with an established persona recreating himself with a new persona. If more talents would think outside the box like this, more talents would have less to complain about regarding their elusive 'push'" said Ross.
This advice reappears later in the blog when Ross changes topic to the new WWE Cruiserweight division. He wrote about the division's potential and the athletes needing to connect with their fan base in order to succeed in the WWE. In Ross' opinion being able to talk efficiently and effectively is essential to survive in today's pro wrestling climate. Ross will be soon speaking with Matt Hardy about wrestling and what he's been doing in TNA.
Matt Hardy will be on Jim Ross' Podcast the Ross Report Podcast in November.
