Jim Ross Thinks AEW Will Air Wednesday Nights On TNT

Jim Ross gives his thoughts on when AEW will debut on TNT.

As of now, fans know that All Elite Wrestling will premiere on TNT at some point in the fall. But a premiere date has not been announced, nor has the day of the day week in which the show will air. Wednesday would seem to be the leader in the clubhouse as AEW recently trademarked "Wednesday Night Dynamite."

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

Appearing on the Steve Austin Show, AEW Senior Advisor and announcer Jim Ross weighed in on the situation.

"I'm not sure exactly the date. I've heard two or three stories. It's early October. I think it's going to be on a Wednesday night, but that's not been confirmed to me. Tuesday and Thursday are big basketball nights on TNT and we sure as hell don't want to dance around the basketball schedule. Logically, by process of elimination, it looks like it's going to be Wednesday. We'll see."

AEW initially trademarked "Tuesday Night Dynamite" and many thought AEW would slide into SmackDown's slot when the WWE show moves to Fridays in October. However, as mentioned by Ross, TNT airs NBA games on Tuesday nights, which would end up complicating AEW's schedule.
