Jimmy Jacobs Recounts Blading His Forehead To Get Out Of 10th Grade Biology Class, Bladed Again During College Class

There were two times that Jacobs bladed in class.

Joining René Duprée for a recording of the Café De René podcast was Jimmy Jacobs. As their conversation was ongoing, they dove into Jacobs' upbringing.

That led to Jacobs telling the story of when he cut himself with a blade to get out of his 10th-grade Biology class. Jacobs went on to blade again during a college course. In college, he was taking a public speaking course and had to demonstrate how to do something, so he bladed and tried to finish his speech.

“In the public speaking class, one of our assignments was to do a demonstrative speech, which is like demonstrating how to do something and I went up there and I demonstrated how to blade and it was wild, man (Jacobs laughed). The letter my professor subsequently had to write to the Dean of the department is f*cking hilarious because she had to write a letter to the Dean of department because I ended up getting a gusher in there, because I bladed for him. I did the whole thing… In class, yeah, yeah. In class. I took a few aspirin and loosened it up a little bit. I did not expect to hit this gusher. I was like, ‘Alright guys, if you have a weak stomach, might wanna look away.’ I hit this thing and I try to finish the speech and I’m just bleeding all over myself and it’s getting on the floor and like, a girl had to take me to the women’s bathroom because that was the closest bathroom to clean up. I was so embarrassed. As I was cleaning up, in the bathroom, in the women’s bathroom, with this woman that’s in my class, her mind’s blown by what’s going on. Another girl from the class comes running into the bathroom and starts vomiting in one of the toilets, and so then the professor has to write a letter to the Dean of the department because they had to call the hazard cleanup because someone’s bodily fluid got on the stuff.

Being a maniac when you’re younger. I was a maniac. That was the second time I bladed in school. That was in college. The first time I bladed in school -- I f*cking hated Biology class. I just hated it. For some reason, I couldn’t stand it. Then I’m like, you know what? I’m gonna get out of Biology class, and so, class is about to start… I wasn’t good at sitting still. I like to walk around, and so it’s the beginning of class and the teacher’s like, ‘Come on. Come on, sit down,’ and I go and I’ll never forget, John Hillary’s foot was sticking out and I trip over his foot, I take a bump, I had a gig on me and I hit it and I come up… and the teacher’s like, ‘Oh my God, are you okay?’ And my best friend was in the class. He comes and he takes me to the bathroom. He’s like, ‘Dude, you alright?’ And then I pull the blade out. I’m like, ‘Yeah, dude…’ 16, I was 16, yeah. Sophomore, yeah, yeah, 10th grade. (I had the blade on me) Because I was planning on it. I was planning on getting out of class… I got exhilarated that it worked. It felt nice to get out of Biology class. This is probably why you don’t let teenagers into the wrestling business..."

Elsewhere in this same interview, Jacobs spoke about his time at AEW and wishes he could have contributed more. To read his comments, head over to this link.
