Jinder Mahal Explains Saurav's Absence From His Group

In May, Jinder Mahal became a regular on WWE television again and he was flanked by Shanky and Veer.

Veer (Rinku Singh) teamed with Saurav Gurjar as part of Indus Sher in NXT while Shanky had only competed at WWE Superstar Spectacle.

Speaking to Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes, Mahal explained his original pitch for the group.

“Yes. So when I came back, I spoke to Vince about giving me the Indus Sher tag team, Saurav and Rinku, Veer and Saurav. Unfortunately, Saurav was in India, so I got Shanky. So it wasn’t the original plan, but, you know, making it work, and hopefully when Saurav makes it back. He’s dealing with some visa issues. I think once they get sorted, you know, let’s add more more to the group because the Indus Sher tag team in NXT, phenomenal, great look," he said.

It is unknown when Saurav will return to television or if he'll align with Jinder Mahal.

Mahal, Veer, and Shanky teamed to defeat Jeff Hardy, Mansoor, and Mustafa Ali on Monday's WWE Raw. If you missed anything from WWE Raw, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
