Jinny will get a chance to face Kay Lee Ray for the NXT UK Women's Championship thanks to Joseph Conners.
On the January 7 episode of NXT UK, Jinny fought Piper Niven for the right to face Kay Lee Ray for her NXT UK Women's Championship, and in a heated battle, Jinny broke the chain of championship matches between Kay Lee and Piper Niven. Joseph Conners surprisingly appeared and wound up aligning with Jinny, helping her defeat Piper.

Piper goes right after Jinny with right hands before Jinny comes back with forearms in the corner before Piper hits a side Russian leg sweep into a senton. Jinny rolls out of the ring, Piper giving pursuit and beating on Jinny at ringside before Jinny sends Piper into the post. Piper gets back in at nine and Jinny chokes her on the mat while screaming at her before locking in the Iron Octopus. Joseph Conners makes his way out to ringside before Piper comes back with a series of clotheslines into a running cross body for two. Joseph gets in the way of Jinny and gets hit with a cannonball off of the apron at ringside before Jinny rolls Piper back inside. Piper then catches Jinny coming off of the top before Joseph trips Piper and Jinny pins Piper for the win.
Winner: Jinny defeats Piper Niven via pinfall to become the new number one contender for Kay Lee Ray's NXT UK Women's title.
