JJ Watt Says He Would Risk A Fine From NFL Just To Pin Rob Gronkwoski To Win WWE 24/7 Title

With WWE 24/7 Champion Rob Gronkowski back in the NFL and playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, players are taking notice and possibly preparing to take his title.

Houston Texans star JJ Watt recently appeared on WWE?s The Bump and gave his thoughts on having an NFL player who is also a champion in WWE at the same time. Watt said he would love to see someone try and win that championship in the middle of an NFL game. In fact, Watt ponders the possibility of him doing just that.

?I am interested in seeing how it plays out. I would love nothing more than to see that Championship gets played out in the middle of a game just to see what kind of fine the League would come up with for that situation. But I think it would be wildly entertaining,? Watt said.

Unfortunately for Watt, the Texans and the Buccaneers aren?t scheduled to play each other at any point this season and with both teams in different conferences, the only time Watt vs. Gronk for the 24/7 Championship can happen on the gridiron is in next year?s Super Bowl.

But when the two teams meet each other, Watt said he won?t hesitate to do whatever he can do to win the 24/7 Championship. In fact, Watt said he?s risking a 15-yard penalty and a fine from the NFL in order to become a champion.

?I?ll take the 15 yards and the fine, no doubt, I?ll take the championship,? Watt said.
