Joe Alonzo: Every Company Has Too Many Titles, They’ll Make One Just For A Specific Person
Joe Alonzo has a bone to pick with every wrestling company.
In recent years, wrestling promotions around the world have introduced new championship belts, allowing some wrestlers to rack up title stats with ease. For example, there are currently 23 active championships in WWE that represent the main roster, NXT, WWE ID, and EVOLVE.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Joe Alonzo commented on this problem.
“Yeah, participation [trophies]. It’s to make everyone feel included. I don’t like it. Everything should be earned. Every company has too many titles. Every single company, every single company. Then they’ll make one. They’ll make one just for a specific person.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Alonzo explained his issues with BDE and other outsiders in the world of professional wrestling. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
