Joe Doering Honored At TNA Slammiversary

TNA Wrestling honored Joe Doering to start TNA Slammiversary.

The show opened with a ten-bell salute to Doering, who passed away on Thursday after battling brain cancer for a decade.

After the salute, Cody Deaner spoke, saying that Doering was a fighter and loyal. He recalled teaming with Doering and how doctors told him his career was over after his first battle with brain cancer, but Doering came back and continued to compete.

On August 30, 2022, it was announced Joe Doering would be stepping away from wrestling as his brain cancer had returned and he would need to undergo surgery. In December 2025, it was revealed that he was battling a third brain tumor. Doering has spent nearly ten years fighting brain cancer.

Doering made his debut in 2004 and competed for TNA Wrestling, AJPW, NJPW, and various independent promotions.
