Hendry is a character that has been babyface for the last several years, spanning time in TNA, NXT and the WWE main roster. However, in the past, his character has leaned more heel due to the nature of his diss tracks and other aspects.
While speaking to the Michael Fairman Channel, Joe Hendry was asked about a potential heel turn in WWE, noting that he would ‘never say never.’ Hendry would also note that the character he currently portrays on WWE television is one that was designed to be hated.
“Yes. I mean, never say never. You just never know. Anything can happen in the WWE. It’s funny. I originally, this is the character that I’ve designed and the person that I’m portraying was designed to be hated and people just happened to like it you know so.”
