Joey Janela is a draw for Fite TV.
Joey Janela has turned into one of the biggest stars on the Independent scene thanks to his use of social media and viral videos. Joey Janela's Spring Break in 2017 became the most talked about Independent show during WrestleMania weekend thanks to its mix of young talent, nostalgia and general craziness. Janela continued to partner with Game Changer Wrestling to present the second annual Spring Break show in 2018 along with events such as Lost In New York and LA Confidential.
And according to Janela, the shows do very well on Fite TV pay-per-view.
"We do great on Fite TV," Janela told Sean Mooney. "I was talking to the owner of Fite TV in Jacksonville, who was there for the (AEW) press conference, he was saying he couldn't believe when we started putting shows on his platform how well they did. Now they're even doing better than IMPACT Wrestling. They have TV and our pay-per-views are doing numbers either right along with what they're doing or better. It's wild because we're Independent guys doing this on our own. We don't have TV or the resources that they have."
Janela will hold his third annual Spring Break event in New York during WrestleMania weekend in April. This year, the event will be a two-night affair due to high demand. Janela is currently recovering from a knee injury suffered in September.
