It's good to be Joey Janela, at least that's what Joey Janela says.
This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite during a special Beach Break episode, it was revealed that Darby Allin will defend his TNT Championship against Joey Janela on February 10.
When this news broke, there was some questioning what Joey Janela has done recently to earn a championship opportunity. In a promo that was released during the show, Joey hyped up the match by saying “The Bad Boy” was back.

On Twitter, Joey would reveal that it was actually the incumbent TNT Champion that asked for this match. Joey would also take aim at fans who are bothered by this upcoming match saying that the only reason they are bothered by him is that they look like him and they are upset that he eats lobster “whenever the fuck he wants,” has a hot girlfriend, and gets to be on TV.

Joey and Darby were involved in a triple threat match at the first All Out event in 2019. When they face each other on February 10, it will be the first time that two Superstars without global exposure from another promotion face each other and a one-on-one match for a featured championship in AEW.
