Joey Janela Says He Never Hurt Hangman Page, Page Says It's 'Nothing But Love And Respect'

Joey Janela recently confirmed that he won't be re-signing with AEW once his contract expires in May.

In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Janela said Tony Khan told him they would be bringing him back to television, but he broke Eddie Kingston's orbital bone with a superkick and he feels that may have been the straw that broke the camel's back You can find his full comments by clicking here.

Some fans also noted that Janela busted open Hangman Page during their AEW Dynamite bout on May 28 as another incident where he was too stiff.

Janela responded to that claim, explaining that his knee brace caught Hangman, which caused the cut.

Janela also said he suffered a concussion in that bout with Hangman while noting there is zero heat between him and Kingston.

Hangman sent the following reply, apologizing for the concussion, and saying it's nothing but love and respect.

Janela hasn't competed on AEW TV since the January 15 episode of AEW Dark, losing to Lee Moriarty.

Hangman is the reigning AEW World Champion.
