John Cena Cast In New Buddy Cop Comedy

John Cena is going on hiatus again, and it looks like he has one more project to get to before he'll make it back to a WWE ring.

Deadline is reporting that Universal has acquired an untitled buddy cop comedy that will star Cena as well as Kumail Nanjiani, from indie hit The Big Sick and HBO's Silicon Valley.  It will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, most famous for the action-horror-comedy Zombieland. Fleischer's next project will be the Spiderman spin-off Venom.

Cena has a smaller, co-starring role in the upcoming Daddy's Home 2, and has also filmed another upcoming comedy The Pact.
