Cena's title reign continues.
Headlining WWE's Night of Champions Premium Live Event from Saudi Arabia was the Undisputed WWE Championship bout between CM Punk and the champion John Cena. Punk made his entrance sporting his gear from the 2011 Money in the Bank event, where he faced Cena for the WWE Championship.
There was a point in the Night of Champions bout when Cena was about to use the belt on Punk, but he opted to toss the belt to the outside. Cena then walked into a GTS that resulted in a two-count. As the match continued, Cena was performing his shoulder tackles, but Punk ducked one, and Cena went flying into the referee.
While the referee was down, Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman showed up. Punk tried to fight off Reed and Breakker, but they put him through a table. Rollins called for a new referee, but Cena ran the referee over and then proceeded to get in Rollins' face. Reed and Breakker jumped Cena, and coming down for the save was Penta. Breakker took him out, but then Sami Zayn joined the fray and fought Breakker off. As Breakker and Zayn were going at it, Penta dove off the stage onto them.
Back in the ring, Reed was setting up to hit a Tsunami onto Cena, but Punk saved him and pushed Reed off the top rope. Cena hit Reed with an Attitude Adjustment. Punk then extended a handshake to Cena, and they embraced, but Cena stared directly into the hard camera and attempted to low blow Punk.
Punk blocked the low blow attempt and lifted Cena for a GTS. Rollins made his way back into the ring and hit Punk with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Cena then tossed Rollins out of the ring and pinned Punk to retain the Undisputed WWE Title.
Cena is now set to defend the Undisputed WWE Title against King of the Ring tournament winner Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.
