TMZ Sports caught up with John Cena and asked him about his current relationship status with Nikki Bella and Cena expressed that he and Nikki talk everyday and that they are "best-friends". Cena was then asked if a marriage is something that he would like after calling off his planned wedding two months ago and he responded with the following:

"Its something I would like, if the the situation is right." Cena said.

One aspect of John Cena and Nikki Bella's relationship that has been documented was that Cena did not want children. John has since came out over the recent weeks and expressed that he would like to be a father and during this specific conversation he explained his new way of thinking on the topic.

"Of course I would love to be a dad and by the way that’s an about phase for me and I realize very much, that I’ve been steadfast in saying that I don’t want children. But I’m a little bit older now, a bit wiser. I think at age eighteen we say things different, at age twenty-five, thirty-five." He continued, “I would love it, only because I dedicated my life to my work and now I’m realizing that there is life and life exists and it is beautiful, and I think part of that is being a parent."

"Big Match John" began training to become a professional wrestler at the age of 22-years old and he shared that if he were to have a child he would never stop he/she from chasing their dreams no matter the profession.

"My God I don’t know what I would do with my life if my parents hadn’t supported my career. So, would I allow my child to chase their dream essentially is what you’re asking me? I think that’s what life is all about." Cena stated.
