John Cena: I Look Forward To Returning To WWE As Soon As Possible

John Cena may have ruled out an appearance at WrestleMania, but that doesn't mean his WWE career is over.

Cena hasn't been on WWE television since disappearing in the Firefly Fun House match against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. It is unknown when Cena will return, but he vows to return.

"I will [be back in WWE]," Cena told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "Unfortunately, the state of the world, I'm not sitting there on the couch next to you. It's a difficult and unpredictable time and right now, I'm doing this. I'm filming Peacemaker and that's going to take a lot of my time. I can't bounce back and forth due to international restrictions. At least for the time being, I'm here and away from WWE, but I very much look forward to returning as soon as I possibly can."

Speaking to Sports Illustrated on Monday, Cena said there was no mathematical way he could make an appearance at WrestleMania 37 due to filming. You can find his full comments by clicking here.

It is unknown when Cena will return to WWE television. He did make a special appearance for the WrestleMania Report where he announced the location of WrestleMania 39.
