John Cena Leaves His Shoes In The Ring, Delivers Final Words
John Cena tapped out in his final match, losing to Gunther in the main event of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
After the match, Cena left his shoes in the ring, further indicating his retirement.
As Cena left the ring and stood at the top of the ramp, he delivered his final message to the WWE Universe, saying, “It’s been a pleasure serving you all these years. Thank you,” and giving a salute.

As part of the post-match festivities, John Cena held the WWE World Heavyweight Title and Undisputed WWE Championship, which were given to him by CM Punk and Cody Rhodes.
A tribute video also aired highlighting Cena’s career with messages from his peers.
