Universal pictures has greenlighted The Pact, and Deadline reports that WWE Superstar John Cena has been cast in one of the lead roles.
The movie, which marks the directorial debut of Pitch Perfect scriptwriter Kay Cannon and stars Cena, along with Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz, revolves around three parents who discover their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom. Together, they launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal.
News first emerged of Cena landing the role last fall.
The film will be released on April 20, 2018. No word yet on when filming will begin, but it looks like Cena will be taking time away from the WWE ring again within the next few months.
