John Cena Pays For Vietnam Veteran's Groceries

John Cena is here to help during this time of need.

Cena was out grocery shopping on Monday when he spotted a man wearing a U.S. Navy SeaBees cap. Not only did Cena take a picture with the man and thank him for his service, but he also picked up the tab on his groceries. It was later revealed that the man was Vietnam veteran Charles “Bud” Phillips and Cena had paid discretely before leaving.

“John secretly paid for all of his groceries,” Phillips’ daughter told ET Online. “My dad didn’t even know until he was being checked out and the cashier said, ‘John paid for your groceries.’”

WWE's official website also picked up the story, which you can read by clicking here.

Cena made an appearance this past Friday on SmackDown, coming face-to-face with Bray Wyatt in a war of words. Cena is set to face 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 from the Performance Center.
