After the bout, Reigns stated, "Now the whole world can acknowledge me."

The familiar horns of "My Time Is Now" hit the Dickies Arena as John Cena officially made his return to WWE television. Cena stood across the ring from Reigns and hit him with the "you can't see me" as the crowd gave him a thunderous ovation.

This was Cena's first appearance on WWE television since losing Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36. WWE had been hopeful Cena would be able to return for a SummerSlam match against Reigns. Cena has been adamant in recent interviews that he would wrestle for WWE again.

Fightful Select reported on July 13 that Cena was scheduled to return "at some point over the next eleven days."
