John Cena Says He Learned Excellence From The Rock

At WrestleMania 28, John Cena and The Rock met in a once in a lifetime match. They would meet again one year later.

Cena and Rock are two of the biggest stars in wrestling history and their careers will forever be tied together thanks to those two matches and a number of interactions between the two over the years.

Speaking to Tom Rinaldi for WWE, Cena was asked what he’s learned from The Rock.

“I learned excellence. Absolute excellence. I learned what a good golf shot feels like, when you go out and make 60 of them and hand in your scorecard. That’s what I learned. I learned the noise, every time. Even in your heart of hearts maybe he thought he could have given more, the noise is still there. There is not a moment we shared without the noise. That is very rare when you’re paired with somebody that you always have that. There is usually some dead air. Not with him,” he said.

The last time Rock and Cena were on screen together, they were aligned in taking out Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber.
