John Cena discusses his retirement further, noting that he will not have any fall downs now he is retired from WWE.
In December of last year, Cena would retire from full time in ring action with a loss to Gunther, and has since shown that he will continue to work with WWE outside of the ring, with appearances at WrestleMania or Backlash. However, fans cannot expect to see Cena taking bumps or being attacked now that he is no longer active.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated in a new interview, John Cena explained that he will have no fall downs or bumps now that he is retired from active pro wrestling.
“This was the confusing thing about retirement. First of all, I will stay retired — no fall downs. I will not do anything physical. But that doesn’t mean I’m away from WWE. I mean, anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about not only the sports entertainment business but WWE as a brand. So it was simply a matter of like, ‘So where do I fit in now?’ And we’re still trying to find out those pieces, but I think we got a clear path.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Cena spoke about how he is feeling physically following his retirement from the ring. You can read more about that here.
