John Cena provides a new update on The John Cena Classic, vowing that he will give fans his absolute best when it eventually comes.
Earlier this year at WWE Backlash, Cena would announce ‘The John Cena Classic’ which will feature talent from all three WWE brands facing off against each other, with match participants all being put into a fan vote to decide the winner of the contest.
While speaking to ExtraTV in a new interview, John Cena was asked for an update on the contest, noting that he and WWE are still working on it, vowing to give fans the absolute best.
“I gotta withhold the updates, what I can tell you is we are working forward, and I cannot tell you how excited I am about it. The event, what it stands for, I wanna do something great for WWE fans towards the end of the calendar year. I wish I could give you spoilers, but I gotta be loyal to my company. What I can tell you is we’re working on it, and I am gonna give you my absolute best. If an event is gonna wear my name, especially in the WWE realm, I’m always giving my best to WWE, the classic would be no less.”
During the latest season of WWE Unreal, Cena spoke about the thought process behind losing to Brock Lesnar during his retirement tour. You can read more about that here.
