John Cena Senior says that he doesn’t want Gunther to be the one to retire his son from pro wrestling.

On this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, Gunther would face off with Solo Sikoa in the semi finals of the Last Time Is Now tournament to take on John Cena in his final match. Gunther would come away with the victory, albeit with the help of a brutal low blow.

While speaking on the All Axxess podcast, John Cena’s father, John Cena senior, would note how he does not want to see

“Well it certainly wouldn’t be Gunther, that’s for sure. I don’t think that that’s a wise move. I don’t think the fans would enjoy that move. Myself, personally, Gunther does not need the rub. By the way, I’m not a fan of on the way out you’ve got to push somebody over the top. You’re supposed to pass quote unquote the torch. I don’t know whether that’s written anywhere in professional wrestling.”
