John Cena discusses his wife being present on set and supporting him for a helicopter stunt in the upcoming Matchbox movie.

While Cena has a decorated career as a professional wrestler behind him, his acting career continues to grow, as he continues to secure roles across the board. In the upcoming Matchbox movie, he would participate in several of his own stunts, including a stunt involving a helicopter.

While speaking to E! in a new interview, John Cena spoke about the upcoming movie, noting that his wife was on set for the stunt to support him.

“I got to tell you, there were some days I got to I got to kind of give the missus a danger grade on the days, and she knew the worst thing for me was going to be jumping off that building, and I love her for the fact that she was there. She could easily have gone into like the fear vacuum with me of like, ‘oh my God.’ No, she was totally supportive of like, you got this. After I did it, she came right up, gave me a great hug and told me how proud of me she was. So she could have been sucked into her own thing, making my situation worse, but it’s why she’s my best friend and my partner and a wonderful wife. She put her personal emotions aside and helped support me in a time of need.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Cena spoke about his fear of heights while doing stunts. You can read more about that here.
