Jon Moxley Defeats Juice Robinson To Become IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion

Jon Moxley captures gold in his first match in NJPW.

Jon Moxley took the wrestling world by storm when he debuted for All Elite Wrestling at Double Or Nothing and it was revealed after that debut that he would soon be debuting for New Japan Pro Wrestling to take on Juice Robinson for the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship on the final day of the  Best Of The Super Juniors tournament. The conclusion of Moxley versus Juice saw Moxley execute two double-arm DDTs to secure the win and the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title in his first match in New Japan.

Moxley jumped on the Talk Is Jericho podcast prior to his AEW debut and revealed that his promotional videos to promote his free agency and his NJPW debut were shot by CZW Hall Of Famer Nick Mondo. With capturing the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title, Moxley is now walking into AEW's Fyter Fest against Joey Janela later this month as a champion.
