Jon Moxley Fantasy Books The Great Muta And Jun Akiyama In AEW

Jon Moxley wants to bring in more legends from Japan.

AEW and NJPW combined for its Forbidden Door event on June 26 with Japanese legends such as Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada competing in an AEW ring. Tanahashi headlined the event, challenging Moxley for the Interim AEW World Title.

Moxley walked away victorious and now wants a couple more Japanese legends in AEW.

During the Forbidden Door post-show media scrum, Moxley and Tony Khan had the following exchange regarding Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta) and Jun Akiyama coming to AEW.

Moxley: How do we get....I would like to see, because it's his last year, check it out, I'm going to do some fantasy booking. Six-man tag. Three dudes over here, and on this side, we have Darby Allin, Sting, and The Great Muta. How do we make that happen?

Khan: I don't know, you have to talk to the guys in the back. You're lucky they like you so much in New Japan.

Moxley: How do we do it?

Khan: Isn't he the President of NOAH? Is he not the President of NOAH?

Moxley: Somebody make a call. Everybody would love to see that. Gedo would love to see that. Who wouldn't love to see that?

Khan: It could be good. It could be something people want to see.

Moxley: Muta, Sting, Darby Allin. Face paint, dudes with attitudes, it'd be pretty sick.

Khan: There's one guy [Moxley] who can get away with that.

Moxley: Let's try to make it happen. Also, Eddie Kingston would like to fight Jun Akiyama.

Khan: I would like to do that. That, I can do that. That, I'll do that.

Moxley: Akiyama! Hey, Eddie Kingston is looking for you my friend. If you want to bring (Kazushi) Sakuraba, too. Maybe I'll go with him. Most importantly, Jun Akiyama, Eddie is looking for you.

Mutoh is set to retire in the spring of 2023 due to a hip injury. You can find the final dates on his retirement tour by clicking here.

Akiyama remains active in DDT Pro Wrestling.
