Jon Moxley Returns To NJPW, Dragon Lee Changes Name; Wrestle Kingdom 14 Challenges Issued

David Finlay & Juice Robinson winning NJPW World Tag League 2019 wasn't the only big thing to happen on the final night of the tournament.

Following a victory by Lance Archer & Minoru Suzuki over KENTA & Yujiro Takahashi, Jon Moxley made his return to NJPW, taking out Archer and Suzuki with the Death Rider. Moxley then got on the mic and challenged Archer to a Texas Death Match at Wrestle Kingdom 14 for the IWGP United States Championship.

Moxley was stripped of the IWGP US Title prior to King of Pro Wrestling when he failed to show up to his scheduled title defense against Juice Robinson due to typhoon Hagibis. Archer replaced Moxley in the bout against Juice, picking the victory and the championship.

Moxley wasn't the only return on the final night of NJPW World Tag League 2019.

Dragon Lee, who is now going by Ryu Lee, appeared the video screen and challenged Jushin Liger to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 14. Liger teased wanting Hirumo Takahashi in the bout as well.

Both matches should be made official at the NJPW World Tag League post-event press conference. Liger's bout would take place on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14 as he and Takahashi are currently booked for night one. It is unclear which night Moxley vs. Archer would take place.
