Jon Moxley opens 2026 with a huge win.
The January 7 episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with a huge AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match, as Jon Moxley faced Shelton Benjamin. The stakes were high for Benjamin, as he was looking to earn a shot at the AEW Continental Championship.
The match nearly went to a time limit draw, but Moxley was able to pull out a buzzer beater of a victory, stacking up Benjamin in a successful pin attempt after escaping a submission attempt.

This is Moxley’s second straight eliminator match victory after defeating Josh Alexander on the December 31 episode of AEW Dynamite.
