Jordynne Grace has undergone a noticeable body transformation over the years, turning herself into the juggernaut that currently reigns on NXT TV.
In early 2023, Grace trained for a bodybuilding competition, completely changing her training and eating habits to be in top shape for the event.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Grace recalled her transformation and what it meant for her wrestling career at the time.
"I probably ruined it for a lot of wrestlers in TNA because I was actually supposed to wrestle Mickie James, I think a week before my building competition. I think they just looked at me and were like, 'We don't think you can do this match.' I was empty inside. I was a shell of my former self. That weekend, they had me cut a promo and they put it up online. Everyone is calling me like a coke head because my cheeks were sucked in. It was a crazy look," she said.
Grace said she felt empty emotionally and physically, but it was worth it once she got on stage and won.
Grace didn't wrestle from March 19, 2023 to April 16, 2023 in preparation for and after the event.
She will challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the NXT Women's Title at NXT Battleground.
