Fightful Select reported that Gresham got into a verbal disagreement with Tony Khan after losing to Claudio Castagnoli at Death Before Dishonor.

Fightful Select has learned that former ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham asked for his release Saturday ahead of the ROH Death Before Dishonor show that saw him lose the championship. We're told that there was a lack of communication between the company and Gresham leading up to the weekend, and Gresham was said to have felt disrespected by this. Among other things, we learned that the lack of time for the world title match was a tipping point as well.

We're told that Gresham finally procured a meeting with Tony Khan before the show, he was said to have communicated the frustration that led to him "cussing out" Khan. Several talent confirmed this to Fightful following the ROH Death Before Dishonor show.

Also on Flair's Last Match, Gresham's wife, Jordynne Grace defended her Knockouts Championship.

Speaking with Iridian Fierro of Chicago's WGN, Grace was asked about Gresham cheering her on from the crowd during the event.

“He was the only one standing [during her entrance at Flair’s Last Match]. That's what made me laugh so hard. I think I actually had already done my entrance and I was in the ring and then he was standing up, still cheering and I was just like, someone — one of my friends actually took that video and I was like, ‘Oh my god,’ I teared up a little bit. I was like, he is the best.”

Jordynne Grace also stated that you can never say never about Gresham appearing with her in IMPACT one day.

“You can't ever rule anything out in pro wrestling, right? So, there's definitely a possibility.”

IMPACT Wrestling will be back in Chicago for Emergence where Jordynne Grace will defend her title against Mia Yim.
