Mathews is shadowing Mike Mansury.
A report emerged from Mike Johnson of PWInsider in early May which noted that Josh Mathews is working for the AEW production team.
Mathews had previously worked for TNA/IMPACT from 2014-2025. He confirmed his new role with AEW while chatting with Maven Huffman backstage at an AEW event.
"Right now, shadowing Mike Mansury. So, I’ll do the Ring of Honor matches before. Then I’ll sit and watch Collision. Then I’ll do the Ring of Honor matches after."
