The latest movement in the Janel Grant case against Carlon Colker.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics has now reported that a judge has made two rulings in Janel Grant’s case against WWE and Vince McMahon. First, Judge David Bothwell denied Grant’s teams request to depose Dr Carlon Colker. The judge noted that Colker’s testimony could be taken later, as there were no extreme circumstances regarding Janel Grant’s ability to be a witness in the case.

However, the same judge approved a request from Grant and her team for medical and communication records related to her treatment with Colker. Thurston also noted that Colker is expected to object to turning over some records in the case, as defense lawyer Frank Silvestri noted that he would be objecting to the turning over of documents.

Colker had previously filed to sue Janel Grant’s lead council,  Ann Callis, for defamation. You can read more about that here, including who Colker has brought in as his lawyer for the case.

A spokesperson for Janel Grant recently commented on Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE. You can read more about that here.

WWE and McMahon have also previously filed to block Grant’s team from gathering new evidence. You can read more about that here.
