On social media early on Sunday morning, Jun thanked the AEW fans and told them he would see them again soon.

Eddie Kingston, who has been vocal about his respect for Akiyama, was on commentary for the Collision bout. Danielson would then offer a handshake, but low blowed Akiyama, resulting in Kingston entering the ring to brawl with Danielson.

Kingston and Danielson are scheduled to face off at AEW Revolution with the Continental Championship on the line.
